I had a displaced fracture of my left humerus, Mr Desai explained the options available to me very clearly and, kindly arranged for me to have time to consider the options. Even though I felt frightened at the prospect of surgery I also felt confident and reassured knowing that we as a team were going to be working together to achieve the best possible outcome from my injury. All of the information was simple, clear and easy to follow with mutual respect between us all. Kindness, a sense of humour and trust shone through.

I don't often give reviews/feedback, but I feel obliged on this occasion to share my views. Any kind of intrusive procedure can't be a pleasant experience, but I can unequivocally state that Mr Desai and his team made sure that a smooth and painless experience was undertaken. I can't thank him enough.

I have had shoulder surgery and now a procedure on my thumb and Mr Desai always gives me the best possible care.My surgery was very successful, its so good to get back to normal! Would highly recommend having the surgery.

After falling and having a grade 4 separation of the shoulder ac joint my movement was very restricted despite physio. It was not improving at all. It was at this point that I went to see Mr Desai. He gave me a very thorough examination and asked lots of questions. He listened to what I was saying. He realised straight away that I had frozen shoulder on top of the injury which had previously been missed by others. He discussed all the options available to me and answered all my questions. I opted for an arthroscopic arthrolysis of shoulder contracture with Mr Desai at St Hughes followed by physio. There has been great improvement in my range of movement, nearly back to normal from being very restricted (30-50%). So happy that I had the operation and felt well looked after throughout.

I had cubital tunnel release surgery on my left elbow performed by Mr Desai. From my first consultation, the surgery and OPD follow, Mr Desai gave me confidence, was very sympathetic and had an excellent bedside manner. The result of the surgery was amazing, from having almost no grip and immense pain, within days my fingers were working normally. I cannot praise Mr Desai enough. I'd recommend Mr Desai, thank you so much.
